An Answer to Vaginal Dryness

Vaginal dryness is not an easy topic to discuss. Diminishing estrogen levels are usually the main culprit because it is estrogen that produces a layer of moisture that keeps the vaginal tissues healthy and elastic. If there is not enough estrogen as a result of menopause, hormonal changes, or health issues, you may experience vaginal dryness.

You may be experiencing mild irritation, itching or burning and even pain with intercourse. Your tissues can even become brittle, causing light spotting or bleeding which are all symptoms of vaginal dryness.

What is the answer to vaginal dryness?

First, discuss your symptoms with your doctor and consider using some form of estrogen therapy to treat your vaginal dryness.

Secondly, try a vaginal moisturizer like our favorite Genneve Intimate Moisture and use a personal lubricant like Genneve Personal Lubricant.

Stay away from products that can be irritating to the vagina like soaps, detergents, powders, lotions, and perfumes. The Genneve Body Wash is a great option for your cleansing needs.

How are the binder sizes measured?

Question: How are the binder sizes measured?

All measurements (and sizes) in the Hysterectomy Store are described in inches. Using a tape measure, measure around your abdomen, below your belly button and above your hips, specifically across your incision area and not your natural waist.

Abdominal Binder Sizes

24″-30″ fits our “Small”
30″-36″ fits our “Medium”
36″-42″ fits our “Large”
42″-48″ fits our “X-Large”
48″-54″ fits our “2X-Large”

Pocket Binder Sizes

31-36″ fits our Extra-Small/Small
35″- 50″ fits our Medium/Large
48″- 58″ fits our XL/2XL (add $4.00)

Can’t decide which size? Or are you on the border between two? Make sure to take swelling into account. But you should also know that the binders are capable of stretching as they are made from elastic (but no latex).

We do offer value pricing if you want to purchase two of the same size or different sizes. However be aware of our return policy. We can not accept merchandise that is not in its original packaging.

Mesh Panties (two pairs)

From the first days after surgery, these lightweight, stretchy panties are perfect to wear over your tender stitches and incisions. These mesh panties are perfect for holding peri pads securely during hysterectomy recovery, c-section or other surgeries. Granny Panties (two pairs)

These full-cut Granny Panties are a yummy, soft, stretch cotton to pamper you with the comfort you want right after your surgery and especially over your tender, swollen belly. The waist sits right above your naval, and the seat is generously cut to discourage “riding up”, allowing for maximum comfort. If your tummy is particularly swollen, consider ordering up a size to allow plenty of room for your comfort. Your soft panties will be either white, or a soft pastel, depending on availability at the time of your order. Fabric content: 90% Cotton, 10% Spandex with a 100% cotton crotch.

Nylon Support Briefs (two pairs)

This is our best seller panty and is a light-weight control panty for your tender tummy as you recover from your hysterectomy, c-section or other abdominal surgery. These panties provide gentle compression to help you with mobility and helping you ease back into your activities and clothes. They are beige or white (depending on availability) in color and are stretchy all over. Made with 86% nylon and 14% spandex, its perfectly comfy across your tummy. Crotch Lining: 100% cotton.
