Vaginal Dryness? We have an answer!

Vaginal dryness is not an easy topic to discuss. Diminishing estrogen levels are usually the main culprit because it is estrogen that produces a layer of moisture that keeps the vaginal tissues healthy and elastic. If there is not enough estrogen as a result of menopause, hormonal changes, or health issues, you may experience vaginal dryness.

You may be experiencing mild irritation, itching or burning and even pain with intercourse. Your tissues can even become brittle, causing light spotting or bleeding which are all symptoms of vaginal dryness.

What is the answer to vaginal dryness?

First, discuss your symptoms with your doctor and consider using some form of estrogen therapy to treat your vaginal dryness.

Secondly, try a vaginal moisturizer like our favorite Genneve Comfort and use a personal lubricant like Genneve Personal Lubricant.

B-12 for Menopause Symptoms

If you are in menopause, you may be suffering from one or more of these symptoms related to B-12 deficiency:

  • Fatigue
  • Memory loss
  • Depression
  • Anemia
  • Vision Loss
  • Dizziness
  • Muscle Weakness
  • Tingling in hands or feet
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Loss of Muscle control

Vitamin B-12 is an important vitamin that is hard to receive in adequate amounts as we age. As we near 45 years, the changes in our body make it even more difficult to properly metabolize this important nutrient.

Here at the Hysterectomy Store, we’ve discovered the B-12 patch is a great way of getting the B-12 our body needs. You place the patch behind your ear for 24 hours – once a week! Each box contains a one month supple – 4 patches.

Don’t let Hot Flashes stop you

I need some help with my hot flashes! Do you have ideas on how I can manage them and other menopause symptoms?

Yes we do!

Never underestimate the power of a fan. Keep a handheld, battery-operated one in your purse or a fan that is USB for your phone. Some even have a spray feature built in! Easy, quick, and convenient. No need to rely on the location to have a fan for you, or trying to make sure to get a spot close to one.

Dressing in layers is another thing you can do to help ease the discomfort of hot flashes. You can remove a piece of clothing as it comes on, without over shedding!

Cold water is another great idea. Keeping it handy, and even on your side table at night. Cold water makes for quick relief once the hot flash hits. Drink it or pour in on yourself!
