What size do I need?

We get this question very often! Which binder will be the best fit post op!

So when measuring for the abdominal binder, we suggest you follow these guidelines:

  • Measure the area below the belly button and above the hips. Do not measure your waist.
  • Do not use your pants size to determine sizing. Each designer seems to have a different opinion on sizing! šŸ™‚
  • Take swelling into account! If you are borderline between two sizes size up. If you are ordering an Abdominal Binder you can purchase a second one at a discount. Then you could get both and have them on hand once the swelling resides.

Walking after your Hysterectomy

One of the best things you can do for recovery is walking!

Taking short, frequent walks can help your body to heal faster. Walking helps to reduce blood clots, prevent constipation, gas issues and more.

Make sure to listen to your body, and do not push yourself. Start off slow and then increase distance and speed, if you choose. If your tummy gets swollen, or you experience more pain – take a break. Stop. A good tip is to make sure to take your phone with you. If you get to far from home and need to stop, call for a ride!
